We were around Trillium and Exhibition Park milling around and then the mushrooms hit me like a tonne of bricks.
I was on a bicycle riding under the tree canopy and everything felt like magic around me. The sunlight was pouring in through the tree branches and glistening off the leaves – I thought I was in heaven it was so beautiful. The sound, smell, wind – it was all connected like a magical orchestra. Being in the midst of nature high is such a treat, I felt alive and grateful to be able to experience this.
I remember a girl was trying to fly a kite and at some point and was screaming.. who definitely ruined the heavenly experience, but right away brought me back to reality. I had a pretty good laugh that turned into a cry-laugh.
